Debrief of the LifeWave launch in Sydney Australia
I attended the official launch of LiveWave event in Liverpool on Thursday evening.
The event fortunately was not what I expected. Traditional network marketing companies normally like to put on a big show and pump people up and make the ‘dream’ come alive. I was very pleased LifeWave chose a very normal path and kept it real. The event began with Michael Georghiou, the Australian from Melbourne who essentially introduced LifeWave to Australia. He introduced himself and went around the room asking people to share their LifeWave sucess stories. These LifeWave stories where profound and moving.
The room was filled with about 300 people, most appeared very laid back and genuinely interested in the health and wellbeing aspects of LifeWave as opposed to the money business side, which again was refreshing, there’s nothing quite so unattractive as desperado network marketing types. The evening was focused on the product and the science behind it.
Next up was David Schmidt, the founder and CEO of LifeWave. I was there to check him out more than anything else. I wanted to find out if he was for real. I was a bit skeptical about his intentions, more than the LiveWaves patches themselves. By now I had tried the energy patches once and experienced an increased energy level that lasted most of the day. Similar to my expectations of the LiveWave event, David Schimdt was fortunately not what I expected.
The main thing I liked about him was his perceived level of integrity. I don’t use this word lightly as integrity is often the first thing to go when big bucks enter the picture, (and cool ceo’s can often bung-it-on for appeal). First he talked about how he started creating the patches and the successes along the way. His story was interesting and a bit more detailed than on the LifeWave story dvd. I was interested to here about his early days working with the US defense research and development team. This helped me put him in context, he is a military type was the mind of an engineer and scientist, he is not coming from the medical background one would assume. It makes sense to me that such a product like LifeWave is infact an engineering science inspired device rather than a medical cure…god know how doctors love their pills!
The LifeWave science side of things seemed liked it was dumbed down for the audience when David spoke of it, but there were moments when he would start talking about energy in quite a scientific manner, however briefly, it left me feeling that he knew more than he was acting out for the people. Which is good!
David then started taking questions which showed up a variety of applications for the patches. The patching demonstrations then followed. At first I didn’t really want to watch people going ooh ahh the pains gone away…so a casually entertained myself chatting with people up the back. Until this one man got up, who was clearly struggling to speak and stand up, he shuffled his feet and seemed very locked down and tight through his face and body. He said he had Parkinson’s. I was very concerned, as this is a degenerative disease which generally sets in over a long period of time, I thought, ‘ Oh my god this is not right, this is not a migraine or a sore back…this man is really not well.’
David not flinching, started with the first pair of patches on the feet, then another pair else where, moving them around and asked the man what he was experiencing. Nothing was really happening and David told the man to sit down near by and check in if there was any shift for him. After about 15 mins the old man got to his feet, an aid rushed to his side as he started to walk over to David. The shift in energy was profound, the man was smiling this quiet small grin and his locked down energy had lifted, his movement was more fluid and he speech was a bit clearer. By the time I left the room at the end of the night I walked past the old man who was visibly changed and smiling. I was and still am gobsmacked.
The evening was all in all a natural and kind affair with genuine heart and caring for the people in the room. I liked the home grown nature of the event and the apparent integrity and genuine intentions of David Schmidt.
I went home to do further research on this profound invention which really seems like a whole new paradigm of healthcare.
